I've broken two unbreakable U-locks in the past two weeks

Anybody want the remains?  Or just want to see what they look inside?  They totally disintegrated.

Now what should I use for a lock?

I don't think you need a lock anymore...  who's gonna mess with the guy who breaks u-locks??

Ha. I actually just broke the locking cylinders, which turn out to be mostly brittle plastic inside.  The one-piece steel U-parts will outlast me.

Since busting them I've been using air locks--I stick the U part on the bike to make it look secure, and use air for the lock.

So far, its worked just as well and I don't have to fuss with keys.
