Kogswell Frame -- bulk load -- cheap

Looks like Kogswell made an ordering goof... this is a great deal for a smart frame. size 59 only.

     his email is kogswellcycles@gmail.com.

     kogswell P/R is here: http://www.kogswell.com/sitePRODUCTS.php

one question to know is which forks is he including with it. and what kind of brakes.

This is temping. Size 59 fits me perfect. I'm 5' 10"

     Details follow

    Hi, All.

    I have 32 59cm x 650B P/Rs in my current order and I'm
looking for a way to move them quickly.

So I'm testing the waters here to see if there's any interest.

Before you get excited, let me give you the details:

    - they were built w/ 31.8 downtubes instead of the 28.6
    so they're more like the G1 59s

    - I will offer them with headsets and seat clamps and
BB cable guides - NO fenders - NO seatposts - I have
fenders and seatposts, but they will cost extra

    - And each frame will include a G2 650B fork

    - Anthony at Longleaf has agreed, in kind, to offer
650B wheels built with the Weinmann ZAC-19 rims
    to those who need them

$339 plus whatever Fed Ex charges you for shipping.

    Anyone interested?

I could start shipping them at the end of August.

    Matthew

John, I'm interested.  But tell me.  In layman's terms, what does this mean?

    - they were built w/ 31.8 downtubes instead of the 28.6
    so they're more like the G1 59s

    G1 == 1st generation.

31.8 mm is standard diameter for tubing on steel bikes now.

After the G1 came out, the guys at Bicycle Quarterly and the iBOB list were going nuts over standard diameter tubing (28.6 mm) and how much it improves the "planing" or flex of the ride. So, Matthew made a run (G2, second generation) of P/Rs with the standard tubing.

I've ridden a G1 P/R about 40-50 miles. They're a great bike; they're not the end-all be-all bike, but they are for sure the most interesting/useful production all-rounder bike being made today. And at sub-$400; I'm really thinking about it...

This appears to be  a pretty typcial expereince for people trying to get ahold of kogswell. The people that appear to habve the best luck are the ones that ask him publically on the email list at http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/KOG/
